Inn at Sunrise Point

As usual, our experience at The Inn at Sunrise Point did not disappoint. The accommodations are wonderful and homey, the service is top notch, and the setting is ideallic. Matt and MJ are fantastic proprietors who always make us feel welcomed and relaxed. We will definitely return next season!

Our second stay here. Gorgeous setting. Matt and MJ could not be more welcoming or caring. Delicious breakfast with scones and muffins baked inhouse that morning, fruit, and a choice of entrees or the special. (One day: vegetable fritter with poached eggs, herbs, and hollandaise--Wow!) Fresh cookies each afternoon, main house with an honor bar open to guests anytime. Cozy. Close to Camden city, Camden Mountain, and on the way to Acadia. If you like hiking, checks the trails from the Youngtown Road parking lot. Rooms are lovely and are tidied up twice a day.

Our stay of at the Inn at Sunrise Point was exceptional in every way! Every part of the Inn from the garden, to the rooms, to the grounds is taken care of so perfectly and with such care. The hosts MJ and Matt were attentive and welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was comfortable and joyful. Breakfast every day was exceptional and is truly the best quality food we've had at any bed and breakfast experience in the past. The private beach that is connected to the property was one of our favorite aspects of our stay here and we loved waking up to watch the sunrise over the water! Our room was comfortable, clean, and beautiful. Overall, our stay here was beyond excellent and I can't recommend enough!

The Inn at Sunrise Point is a little slice of heaven. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The Inn at Sunrise Point was a last minute change to our trip - and we were welcomed as if we were coming home. Mary and her adorable dog, Frederick, were there to great us for a late check-in at the Fitz Henry Lane Cottage. Luxury accommodations surrounded us, with every detail you could need accounted for. The breakfasts served were inspired and expertly executed - fresh and delicious. The homemade scones and cinnamon buns were fabulous, the yogurt parfaits and fresh fruit platters were tremendous, the salmon and bagel platter and the omelette options were incredible. MJ and Matt have created a very special spot and they felt like old friends after five minutes of chatting with them. MJ kindly outlined a day trip for us - to make sure we didn't miss the many beautiful vistas in the area. The views from the Lane Cottage were spectacular - the sunrises, the small lobster boats checking their traps, and a seal frolicking in the water was just the icing on the cake. Home away from home with attention to every detail - including homemade cookies, made fresh every morning - the perfect late night treat. Truly a magical couple days. The only complaint - the Inn they didn't have a room available for a third nights stay. Highly recommend and we will be a guest whenever back up in the area.

A piece of heaven! Truly a gem of a property! The owners have created a special place leaving no stone unturned. Service and attention to detail are off the charts. From spectacular views, to delicious farm to table breakfast fare, daily fresh baked treats, and a wonderful staff, we couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing and enjoyable stay! We will be back!

We recently stayed here for 5 nights. We come to Maine often to visit family and have stayed at several high end inns in this area. I can say hands down this was by far the best overall experience we have had. This place blows their competitors out of the water. The ownership and staff take an extraordinary amount of pride and attention to detail to make all their guests feel welcome and comfortable. They were extremely accommodating. We scheduled a spa reservation and accidentally showed up a day early for the massages. Our mistake, but the owners scrambled to find an amazing masseuse who arrived within an hour. The complimentary breakfast was always incredible, different creative selections every single day. The owners would greet and serve every guest and demonstrated genuine interest in helping you make the most of your time in the area. The daily cookies and pastries were out of this world. The grounds were beautifully kept. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The beds were extremely comfortable. The property is on a stunning piece of land, and is quiet and relaxing. Finally, the photos on the web site understate how nice this property really is. Can’t recommend this place enough.

We recently (July 2025) stayed at The Inn At Sunrise Point and had such a wonderful experience!! From the staff working hard to make our stay so comfortable and relaxing to the owners MJ and Matt who were so kind, helpful and so friendly. Our cottage was clean and beautiful and spacious..the grounds were kept beautifully landscaped and the Inn was clean and decorated with such a cozy home feel. The Inn was close enough to town to drive in to sightsee or enjoy dinners but set off from the hustle and bustle to relax in a peaceful quiet setting to enjoy the sound of the bay with the sunrise and sunsets. You will not be disappointed here.

We have stayed several times with sunrise point inn, but they continue to amaze us. The accommodations, the delicious breakfast and select treats in the afternoon and evening, as well as the recommendations for the area made our overall trip simply fantastic. I highly recommend a stay!
